How much time do you spend in the outdoors enjoying the fresh air and the many types of entertainment that Mother Nature has provided us? So many people spend a majority of their lives inside without considering what they are missing outside. This summer, maybe you should try your hand at fishing. I have put together a website to help those who are inexperienced casting their lines learn what they need to get started and how to succeed at catching their first fish. Fishing is one of the most relaxing sports for you to enjoy on your weekends after a hard week at work. Give it a shot and you may find that you love it as much as I do.

Golf Clothing Option & Advice For Kids

Danielle Baker

If you want to take your kids golfing with you, it is important that they show up in the right gear. The earlier you teach your children that golfing requires specific clothing, the sooner your child will start to internalize this golfing rule. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind when purchasing golf clothing for your child.

Appropriate Apparel

The same basic rules of what is appropriate for adults to wear on the golf course are true for kids.

They should wear a shirt with a collar. Nice, clean shorts, pants or skirts while playing golf are also acceptable. Other athletic wear is generally not appropriate for the golf course.

A hat is usually a must to keep the sun out of your face. For children, regular tennis shoes are okay, or you could opt for golf shoes.

Keep It Comfortable

Even though golf clothing is supposed to look nice, it should also feel comfortable. Your child should be able to freely move around in their golf clothing, and should not feel like their movement is restricted due to their clothes.

Take your kids with you to pick out their golf clothing. Encourage them to move around and pretend to swing a club. Keep searching until you find something that is appropriate and comfortable at the same time.

Keep It Fun

Try to make the entire golfing experience fun for your child, include what they wear. Let them pick out the colors and designs that are on their golf shirts. Even if it seems a little crazy or bright to you, think about some of the wacky shirts that the pros were while on tour.

As long as it has a collar, it is good enough for the golf course! If you let your kids help you pick out their golf gear, they will feel more ownership over their apparel, and will be more excited about putting it on when you go golfing.

Don't Forget The Hat

Most golf courses are devoid of shade. Make sure you outfit your kid with a hat for any extended time on the golf course. A hat will protect your child from getting a sunburn, and it will make it easier for them to watch for their ball up in the sky.

Once again, have some fun with hat options! If your child doesn't have any hats, let them help you purchase one for golfing with.

Remember, the key to picking out golf apparel for your child is to choose apparel that is appropriate for the golf course, but is also comfortable for your child to wear. Finally, remember to have some fun and involve your child in the process of picking out their golf clothing. Talk to experts like Monticello Country Club for more information.
