How much time do you spend in the outdoors enjoying the fresh air and the many types of entertainment that Mother Nature has provided us? So many people spend a majority of their lives inside without considering what they are missing outside. This summer, maybe you should try your hand at fishing. I have put together a website to help those who are inexperienced casting their lines learn what they need to get started and how to succeed at catching their first fish. Fishing is one of the most relaxing sports for you to enjoy on your weekends after a hard week at work. Give it a shot and you may find that you love it as much as I do.

Five Ways To Save On A Wedding Venue

Danielle Baker

If you are planning a wedding on a budget, one of the first places you want to focus the savings on would be the actually wedding venue. Wedding venues can be quite expensive. Here are five ways to help yourself save on them:

  1. Get Married at a Park: Local parks and national parks are often much lower in cost for reserving space for your wedding than regular wedding venues. This is because they don't provide any seating, setups, or staff help in most cases, which means that most of this work would fall onto you and your family. Although it may be extra work, you can save much more than you think, especially if you have lots of friends and family willing to help set up the location.
  2. Get Married at a Local Attraction: Local attractions, such as museums, wineries, performing arts centers, and more often provide lower costs for reserving the space for a wedding. This is because they appreciate the extra income that your wedding would bring in, but they don't rely on that income alone like regular wedding venues would. You are more likely to find low-cost wedding packages in these locations. Plus, you receive the benefit of having space for seating and staff member help in most cases, unlike you would with a local or national park.
  3. Have the Reception at a Restaurant: Whatever location you choose to have the wedding ceremony at, consider choosing a nearby restaurant to host your wedding reception. You won't have to decorate the space, which saves you money on decor, as well as seating. This is ideal for small wedding parties where you don't plan on having a DJ or dance floor.
  4. Reserve Location Early: The earlier that you reserve a wedding venue, the more likely you are going to save money. This is because many wedding venue locations will provide a heavy discount for reservations that are made 6 months or even a year early. Discounts are also offered for those who are having their wedding during the off-season, which would be anytime from September to May.
  5. DIY Decorations: No matter what location you choose, it may be best to create your own decor instead of relying on the decor provided by the wedding venue or professionals. This can save you much more than you think. Plus, you are likely to receive a discount on the cost of the wedding venue if you set up and clean up the decorations yourself.

By knowing these five ways to save on a wedding venue, you can be sure that you end up with the best possible budget friendly wedding location.
